  “Salutiamo un grande talento ma, allo stesso tempo, siamo felici che la Bardiani-CSF sia stata il trampolino di Sonny per il salto nell’elite del ciclismo”.

Con queste parole Bruno e Roberto Reverberi commentano il cambio di maglia di Sonny Colbrelli che, nel 2017, lascerà il #GreenTeam per il neonato Team Bahrain. Un’esperienza lunga e proficua quella del bresciano con la famiglia Reverberi, iniziata nel 2011 come stagista e che proseguirà fino al termine della stagione, la quinta. Tredici i successi conquistati finora, di cui dodici con la maglia del #GreenTeam e che lo rendono il corridore più vincente del progetto sportivo lanciato da Bardiani Valvole e CSF Inox nel 2013. Al palmares si aggiungono un terzo posto all’Amstel Gold Race quest’anno, il sesto posto alla Milano-Sanremo 2014 e il 13° posto nel Campionato del Mondo 2014 di Ponferrada.

“La filosofia della nostra squadra è quella di aiutare i giovani ad emergere nel professionismo. Colbrelli si aggiunge ad una lunga lista che, nel recente passato, ha iscritto i nomi di Modolo e Battaglin. Avevamo capito già da juniores che aveva il potenziale per diventare un corridore di spessore. Abbiamo investito sul suo talento e gli abbiamo dato la possibilità di crescere senza pressioni. Il suo approdo in un team di altissimo livello è per noi un successo. Gli auguriamo il miglior prosieguo di carriera possibile, con la speranza che altri talenti possano ripercorrere i suoi passi”.

This is the first comment of Bruno and Roberto Reverberi to the news that Sonny Colbrelli will leave the #GreenTeam in 2017 signing with newborn Team Bahrain. The relation between the 26-years-old rider and Reverberi’s family, started at the end of 2011 as trainee, has been one of the most successful story. Thirteen wins so far, twelve wearing the jersey of #GreenTeam and the award of the most winning rider of the team created by Bardiani Valvole and CSF Inox in 2013. In addition, third place at Amstel Gold Race in April, 9th at Milan-Sanremo 2014 and 13th at Ponferrada World Champ in 2014. 

“Our philosophy is supporting young riders to stand out in professional cycling. Colbrelli is the last addition of a long list that, in recent past, has added riders like Modolo and Battaglin. Since Sonny was a Junior we understood he has the makings of a winning rider. We invested on his potential and we gave him the chance to grow without any pressure. We’re happy our efforts and support made him a great rider. We wish him a shiny future, hoping to see many riders following his steps”.
