Nella corsa dei due mari Nicola Bagioli è sempre più king of the mountains. Ancora protagonista della fuga di giornata conquista altri 3 GPM, in oltre 200km di fuga, e consolida la leadership nella speciale classifica degli scalatori che assegna la maglia verde della Tirreno Adriatico. In luce anche lo scalatore #OrangeBlue Ivan Santaromita che tiene il passo dei migliori nella tappa regina chiudendo al 19° posto.

Sassotetto - 4^ tappa Tirreno - Adriatico.

Altri 200 km di fuga, altri 3 GPM, Nicola Bagioli è sempre più protagonista alla Tirreno Adriatico. Leader della classifica scalatori della corsa dei due mari, Nicola Bagioli ora ha 35 punti nella speciale classifica, avendo conquistato ben 7 GPM. Sulla salita finale si scatena la bagarre dei big e per gli #OrangeBlue si mette in luce Ivan Santaromita che tiene il ritmo dei migliori chiudendo al 19° posto di giornata sulla salita regina della corsa dei due mari ï»¿che gli vale il 21° posto in classifica generale.


LA GARA.

Tappa regina, la più dura della corsa dei due mari con arrivo in salita. Partenza da Foligno e un continuo dislivello sino ala salita finale. Dopo alcuni tentativi iniziali parte la fuga di giornata composta da sei corridori, tra i quali ancora una volta l’instancabile Nicola Bagioli che dopo gli oltre 200km di fuga della seconda tappa, oggi concede il bis raddoppiando e portando a oltre 400 i suoi km di fuga totali. Sono 3 i GPM intermedi di giornata, prima di quello conclusivo di Sassotetto. Nicola Bagioli riesce ad aggiudicarsi tutti e 3 gli sprint di giornata conquistando altri 15 punti e raggiungendo quota 35. davanti al compagno di fuga Jacopo Mosca a quota 18. Fuga ripresa all’imbocco dell’ultima e decisiva salita dove si scatena la bagarre dei big di giornata. Ivan Santaromita è il migliore degli #OrangeBlue sul traguardo, dopo aver tenuto il ritmo dei migliori chiude con un ottimo 19° posto.


LA DICHIARAZIONE.

Nicola Bagioli sale sul podio indossando la maglia verde per il terzo giorno consecutivo e appare molto soddisfatto: “Oggi era importante andare ancora in fuga per consolidare la leadership in questa speciale classifica. Se mi avessero detto prima della Tirreno Adriatico che avrei potuto lottare per indossare fino alla fine questa maglia non ci avrei mai pensato, ma ora voglio lottare per tenerla, per me e per la squadra rappresenta un grande obiettivo. Nonostante i 7 GPM conquistati potrebbe non bastare per vincerla, vedremo come si evolveranno le prossime tappe con i DS studieremo le migliori strategie. Ora penso solo a riposarmi e recuperare, non ho contato i km di fuga e non credo di volerlo fare.”

NIPPO VINI FANTINI EUROPA OVINI: NICOLA BAGIOLI AGAIN IN THE BREAKWAY, OTHER 200KM OF ESCAPE AND 3 GPM TO REINFORCE HIS KOM LEADERSHIP. GOOD DAY ALSO FOR IVAN SANTAROMITA FINAL 19°.

What a great Tirreno Adriatico of Nicola Bagioli, now king of the mountain with 35 points. Again in the breakaway of the day  with 3 GPM and more than 200km in front of the race to reinforce his leadership in this special ranking. Good day also of Ivan Santaromita. The #OrangeBlue climber has been with the best climbers of the race until the end closing with a final 19th.

Sassotetto - 4th stage Tirreno-Adriatico.

Again 200km of breakaway, other 3 GPM and Nicola Bagioli always more leader of the special ranking of the Tirreno Adriatico with 35 points coming from 7 GPM. On the final climb a good job made by Ivan Santaromita, that in the hardest climb of the queen stage  was able to remain with the top riders until the end closing with a final 19th place.

 

THE RACE.

The queen stage, the hardest of the Tirreno-Adriatico with a final strong climb and many intermediate climbs. After some attacks after few km of race the breakaway of the day went out. 6 riders in, among them Nicola Bagioli that after 200km yesterday, today make other 200km of breakaway. 3 intermediate GPM, before the final one of Sassotetto and all the 3 won by Nicola Bagioli that now has 35 points. The group caught the breakaway at the begin of the final climb, where the bigs started their battle for the stage and for the general ranking. Among them Ivan Santaromita, today the best one among the #OrangeBlue on the finish-line with a final 19th place.

 

THE DECLARATION.

Nicola Bagioli goes on the podium for the third time as King of The Mountain leader and declared: “Today it was very important to go again in the breakaway to reinforce the leadership in the special ranking. At the begin of the Tirreno Adriatico if someone told me that I could win this jersey at the end of the race I would not believe him, but now it is a very important goal both for me and the team. Even if I won 7 GPM I’m not yet sure of the final results we still have to battle for it. Now I just want to rest and find back my energies. I haven’t counted yet all the km of breakaway made, and I do not want to do it.”
