GM EUROPA OVINI PROTAGONISTA DELLA PRIMA TAPPA DEL TOUR ALSACE
La squadra #blackandgreen si mette in evidenza con una bella azione di Antonio Di Sante e con il quarto posto di Filippo Fortin
Dopo il cronoprologo iniziale del Tour Alsace, il GM Europa Ovini riesce a mettersi in evidenza nella prima tappa in linea della corsa francese. Nella Velleminfroy – Dannemarie, tappa di 170 km, Antonio Di Sante è riuscito a scattare insieme ad altri sei attaccanti che sono evasi dal gruppo a 60 km dalla conclusione. L’azione del corridore abruzzese e degli altri fuggitivi è stata molto buona e si è esaurita solo a pochi chilometri dalla conclusione.
Grazie a questa fuga Di Sante è riuscito a conquistare un terzo e un quarto posto nei due traguardi volanti di giornata. Annullata l’azione, il corridore abruzzese si è messo a disposizione del capitano Filippo Fortin, ma mentre stava lavorando per cercare di lanciargli la volata è stato vittima di una caduta.
Al termine della volata di gruppo Filippo Fortin ottiene la quarta piazza. Il successo è andato al belga Timothy Dupont (Veranda’s Willems), nuovo leader della classifica generale.
“Siamo riusciti ad essere protagonisti in una tappa non facile – spiega il direttore sportivo Roberto Damiani – Di Sante sta attraversando un’ottima condizione di forma e lo sta dimostrando ampiamente, mentre Fortin continua ad esprimersi sempre su ottimi livelli. Ci auguriamo di continuare a far bene e di migliorarci nelle prossime tappe”.
Domani ci sarà la Altkirch – Huningue di 151 km: le difficoltà altimetriche sono concentrate tutte nella prima parte di tappa.

GM EUROPA OVINI PROTAGONIST IN THE FIRST STAGE OF TOUR ALSACE
The #blackandgreen team stands out with a nice race of Antonio Di Sante and the fourth place of Filippo Fortin
After the initial trial prologue of the Tour Alsace, GM Europa Ovini has a good impact in the first stage of the French race. During the Velleminfroy – Dannemarie, stage of 170 km, Antonio Di Sante has managed to take along with six other attackers who escaped from the group at 60 km from the end. The action of the Abruzzo rider and the other fugitives has been very good and has run only a few kilometers from the end.
Thanks to this breakaway Di Sante has obtained a third and a fourth place in the two intermediate sprints. Canceled the action, the rider from Abruzzo worked for Filippo Fortin, but while he was working to try to throw the sprint was victim of a fall.
At the end of the group Filippo Fortin sprint gets the fourth place. The victory went to the Belgian Timothy Dupont (Veranda’s Willems), new leader of the general classification.
“We were able to be protagonists in a stage not easy – says the sports director Roberto Damiani – Di Sante is going through a very good shape, while Fortin continues to always express at high levels. We hope to continue to do well and improve ourselves in the next stages“.
Tomorrow there will be the Altkirch – Huningue of 151km: the mountains are all concentrated in the first part of the stage.
