La LAMPRE-MERIDA continuerà a beneficiare della velocità, della classe e delle qualità ciclistiche di Roberto Ferrari.
Il trentaduenne ciclista bresciano ha firmato il rinnovo contrattuale che lo legherà alla formazione del team manager Brent Copeland fino al termine della stagione 2017.
Ferrari, professionista dal 2007 con 12 vittorie all'attivo (qui la scheda completa), è stata la pietra angolare del treno blu-fucsia-verde che ha regalato molte soddisfazioni durante l'annata ciclistica, con riferimento particolare alla doppietta di Sacha Modolo ottenuta nel Giro d'Italia.
"E' bellissimo poter proseguire il mio cammino nella LAMPRE-MERIDA, non avrei potuto volere di meglio - ha sottolineato Ferrari, in foto (Bettini) in compagnia di Giuseppe Saronni - In queste tre stagioni trascorse con la squadra, ho potuto apprezzare la grande organizzazione e l'ottima atmosfera lavorativa, trovando uno sviluppo professionale che mi ha portato a ricoprire un ruolo di apripista nelle volate, oltre ad avere le mie buone opportunità per cercare il risultato.
L'impegno biennale che mi attende è importante, cercherò di dare il mio contributo per portare alla squadra molti successi e di togliermi magari anche qualche soddisfazione personale".
Questo il commento di Brent Copeland: "Oltre a essere un ragazzo splendido per il gruppo, Ferrari è un corridore di primaria importanza perché è capace di sdoppiarsi con disinvoltura nel ruolo di velocista di punta o di regista del treno per la volata.
Nel panorama ciclistico mondiale non ci sono tanti corridori in grado di svolgere entrambe le incombenze così bene, considero quindi di grande importanza il rinnovo contrattuale che consentirà alla LAMPRE-MERIDA di avere in organico Roberto anche per il 2016 e il 2017".

The thirty-two years old Italian cyclist signed the contract renewal which gave him the opportunity to race in the team of the manager Brent Copeland until the end of the 2017 season.
Ferrari, pro since 2007 with 12 victories in his career (here the complete biography), was the cornerstone of the blue-fuchsia-green leadout train which gave to the team many satisfactions in the season, especially in the Giro d’Italia with the two victories of Modolo.
“It’s special to continue my career in LAMPRE-MERIDA, I could not have ask for something better - Ferrari, in photo (Bettini) with Giuseppe Saronni, said - In the past three season which I spent in the team, I appreciated the high level of the structure and the perfect group spirit and I my profile as cyclist evolved to a role as lead-out rider for the sprints, in addition to some personal chances to battle for a top result.
The two years deal is something important, I’ll try to do my contribution for helping the team to achieve as many successes as possible and to eventually obtain personal satisfactions”.
This is the comment by Brent Copeland: “Ferrari is a great guy for the group and he’s atop importance rider because he can play the double role of captain for the sprints and of leader of the leadout train.
There are few athletes as Roberto in the cycling world, that’s why is so important for the team having prolonged the deal with him for 2016 and 2017”.
